Audio Forensics: Digital Clarification Introductory Course

The purpose of our training course is for the student to learn introductory Audio Clarification. The beginners course focuses on learning Best Practices in Forensic Audio. From retrieval to export we will cover the fundamentals of audio and processing techniques and filters for forensic audio clarification. Emphasis will be placed on improving intelligibility in audio in common recording issues. Various software will be introduced with an in-depth look using Izotope RX6.

Video Forensics: Introduction to Video Clarification and Processing

The purpose of this training course will be to introduce the students with clarification and analysis techniques using Salient Stills Video Focus Pro, Ikena’s Motion DSP, Adobe CS6, and other various digital imaging programs for processing, converting from proprietary formats, and clarifying that video. We will also be discussing, transcoding, codecs, screen captures, and working with both standard and proprietary video. Clarification Stills, spotlighting and creation of sub clips will be introduced.


Audio Forensics: Advanced Course

This is a continuation of the foundation covered in the introductory course. This is an extensive overview of forensic audio clarification with Izotope RX6. Topics covered will be advanced clarification techniques, using plug ins with RX6 for best results in clarification, forensic transcription practices and audio authentication techniques. Also discussed will be the presentation and the explanation of your findings in a court of Law.

Video Forensics: Advanced Course

This is a continuation of the foundation of video processing that was introduced in the first course. There will be a concentration of the authentication of video files from retrieval to export. How to put analytical results into a report. Also the masking and tracking of a suspect in a video. Law and the expert witness will also be reviewed. Also discussed will be the presentation and the explanation of your findings in a court of Law.

Voice Comparison Analysis: Biometric Methods

We will focus on and Biometric analysis techniques using iZotope RX7 Advanced, and Biometric Analysis using BiometricVoice Analysis Software The student will focus on the aural (critical listening) and the visual (spectrograms) and the likelihood ratio of the biometric comparisons. Voice exemplars, making short term comparison tapes, preparing Biometric comparison tapes and doing a full analysis utilizing both technology’s available in voice identification and speaker recognition Also discussed will be the presentation and the explanation of your findings in a court of Law.
